Beach Cleanup Volunteers
A fat-tire electric long-bike, featuring an integrated top-bar modular rail system, offers beach cleanup operations an expandable attachment system to reduce physical strain and streamline data collection.
The increasing popularity of electric bikes is transforming how people approach transportation and outdoor activities, providing a sustainable and efficient solution that can enhance various forms of mobility.
The growing issue of trash accumulating on beaches highlights the urgent need for innovative solutions to improve cleanup efforts and address the environmental impact of marine debris.

Why should transportation work against our environmental mission? Onward E-bikes are transported to cleanup sites using electric Rivian Vans, aligning with the goal of beach cleanup operations.
Fat-bike tires make traversing through loose terrains a breeze.
The modular design enables a configurable platform for different needs. In the context of beach clean-up, the curated configuration consists of a rear trash-bin attachment and a front personal items attachment.
Leveraging cameras, computer-vision, and AI to accurately record collected objects and their materials for streamlined sorting tabulation.
The large battery handles all-day cleanups with ease, while its interchangeability gives volunteers the confidence and comfort to bike at maximum power whenever needed.
Designing an e-bike for manufacturing means designing down to every essential component. My largest contribution to the project was converting our concepts into prototype- and manufacturing-ready CAD models.
The Value Proposition Circle, or Consumer Profile, depicts current perceived qualities of job functions and is utilized to pinpoint areas for improvement. The Value Proposition Square highlights improvement opportunities aligned with needs observed in the Consumer Profile VPC Circle.
